✍️ He’s Supposed to Enforce the Laws, Not Dismantle Them
When the Constitution Bleeds, Democracy Suffers.
As we approach Independence Day, it’s worth remembering what the U.S. Constitution makes clear:
The president’s job isn’t to ignore laws he doesn’t like. It isn’t to pick and choose which laws to follow — or to twist them to fit his own interests.
It’s the president’s duty to carry out the laws passed by Congress — faithfully, fully, and fairly.
This duty is so essential that the Constitution mentions it twice:
In the oath of office (Article II, Section 1), the president swears to “faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States.”
And again in Article II, Section 3, where it says the president “shall take Care that the Laws be faithfully executed.”
Not optional. Not up for debate.
That’s the foundation of our democracy — not fireworks or parades, but fidelity to the rule of law.
When a president refuses to enforce laws, tries to sabotage government agencies, or blocks the work of courts and Congress, they are not just breaking the rules — they are betraying the core responsibility of the office.
That’s not leadership.
That’s not democracy.
That’s a direct assault on the Constitution itself.
Because in the United States, laws — not kings — rule.
On this Independence Day, speak out. Stand together. Defend the Constitution:
Call out attacks on the rule of law.
Contact your elected officials.
Support watchdog groups and independent journalism.
Share the truth. Stay informed. Never back down.
Silence enables lawbreakers. Resistance protects democracy.
