✍️ ‘Hands Off Our Elections, Trump!’
Trump’s unlawful executive order must be stopped.
Sorry about this unplanned intrusion into subscriber inboxes today. I couldn’t stay silent after Trump’s latest intrusion into the election process.
To elected officials at the local, state, and national levels; appointed election officials at every level; leaders and activists in the Democratic Party; leaders in all other fields of American life; and patriotic citizens everywhere:
If we stay silent in the face of the latest unconstitutional executive order by Donald Trump, we are abandoning our duty as U.S. citizens.
“Trump says he plans unconstitutional executive order to mandate ID for voters” — The Guardian, Aug. 31, 2025
The Constitution says otherwise ...
Article I, Section 4, gives states the power to run elections and Congress the power to set national standards. The 10th Amendment reserves all other powers to the states or the people. Nowhere does it give the president authority to control elections.
Speak out now!
Words on parchment only hold if leaders and citizens insist on them. When Congress and the Supreme Court look away, the limits depend on us. Across the country, some local and state officials are already showing what it looks like to resist executive overreach. Citizens can do the same.
