The following list includes advocacy groups that provide valuable resources, including action alerts, guides, news reports, and more, on their websites. These resources empower individuals to engage with critical issues and influence their elected representatives.
Emphasize diversity, equity, and inclusion. Don't minimize the significance of those words by using only the abbreviation, DEI.
American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) | ACLU of Washington
The ACLU works to defend and preserve individual rights and liberties guaranteed by the Constitution and laws of the United States. They focus on various issues, including racial justice, LGBTQ+ rights, and voting rights.
NAACP | Alaska Oregon Washington Conference
Founded in 1909, the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People works to build Black political power, end racial discrimination, and advance political, educational, social, and economic equality. Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights
